The Chairman,

Dear Parents, Special Guests,

Royal Fathers, Invited Guests,

Competition Officials,

Staff Members and Students/Pupils of world faith schools

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our 7th inter-house sports competition which is taking place today at Ikot Mbonde Primary School.

There are so many reasons for choosing this school as our sports centre today.

One of these reasons is its nearness and convenience in view of the tight time situation we have had on our hands since the beginning of the year couple with the postponement and rescheduled dates of the just concluded national elections.

Let me specially salute our staff members who took it upon themselves with courage and determination to put the events of today together. I wish to sincerely appreciate and commend their efforts and commitment towards the sustenance of the academics, sporting and moral culture of World Faith Schools. We intended to extend invitations for this year competition to the officials of the State Ministry of Education, Companies that associate with us and schools around us but the uncertainty following the election shifting of dates really restricted us.

The chairmen of this event are parents of the school with proven record of integrity and expression of love and supports to the school. You are welcome.

To our parents who have been able to show up with love, you are welcome.

I apologize to you for the verbal invitations given to you for this event. Hence forth, we shall be sending adequate and proper invitation to you.  Today we will compete and entertain you to show our appreciation of your devotion and support for us.

World Faith High Schools (secondary section) is a centre for six (6) external examinations, namely:

  1. JSCE exams set by state’s ministry of education
  2. External JSS III NECO examination
  3. State MOE mock exams for SSS II students
  4. WASSE for SSS III students
  5. NECO exams for SSS III students
  6. November & June NABTEB exams for technical and professional persons, both for O’Level and Advanced Level .

While we are seriously preparing our students for these exams we also create time to prepare our pupils and students for sports activates.

To those who are going to compete today, House loyalties are encouraged through the inter-house sports competitions and these need to be sustained as it creates healthy rivalry, royalty, team spirit and unity.

To our competition officials, we look forward to proper organization, fairness and conclusion of today’s events in a better way. We know you are sincere and capable ladies and gentlemen. We have total confidence that you will direct the affairs with transparency.
